Fightplane ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates https://fightplane.com (the "Site"), a marketplace for tabletop and virtual tabletop battlemaps. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: name, email address, username, password (stored in hashed form), and optional profile details (bio, avatar, social links).
Payment information: When you make a purchase or receive payouts as a Seller, payment details are collected and processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our own servers.
Transaction data: purchase history, listings, sales, payout records, and refund requests.
Content you upload: Maps, listing descriptions, images, and any messages sent through the Site.
Usage data: pages visited, features used, referring URLs, browser type, device information, and approximate location (derived from IP address), collected automatically via server logs and analytics tools.
Cookies and similar technologies: used for authentication, remembering preferences, analytics, and (if applicable) advertising. See Section 5.
Communications: if you contact support, we retain the correspondence to resolve your request and improve our service.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Marketplace, including processing purchases and payouts;
- Verify Seller identity and prevent fraud;
- Communicate with you about your account, orders, and policy updates;
- Personalize your experience and recommend content;
- Analyze usage to improve the Site;
- Enforce our Terms and Conditions, Licensing Policy, and DMCA Policy;
- Comply with legal obligations, including tax reporting for Seller payouts.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers: payment processors, cloud hosting, email delivery, analytics providers, and customer support tools, each bound by contractual confidentiality obligations.
- Sellers: if fulfillment requires it (generally not applicable for automatic digital delivery), limited order information may be shared with the Seller of a purchased Map.
- Legal and safety: where required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our Users, or the public.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
- With your consent: for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time of collection.
4. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Site, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Transaction records are typically retained for at least 7 years to comply with financial and tax record-keeping laws. You may request deletion of your account data as described in Section 6, subject to these retention obligations.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in and remember preferences. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit some Site functionality.
We use Vercel Analytics to understand how the Site is used (pages visited, referring URLs, approximate location, and page-load performance). It does not use cookies or any persistent identifier and does not track you across other websites. See Vercel's privacy policy for details. We do not currently use any third-party advertising tools; if that changes, we will update this section to name the tool(s) used and link to their privacy policies.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Port your data to another service;
- Opt out of marketing communications (via the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us).
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA). EU/UK/EEA residents (GDPR): If you access the Site from the EU, UK, or EEA, our legal bases for processing include performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligation. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it. Parents who believe their child has provided us information should contact support@fightplane.com.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International Data Transfers
If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in a country with different data protection laws than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).
10. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites (including Seller portfolios or social media). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
